Dirt Poor Robins - Thunder Bird lyrics

[Dirt Poor Robins - Thunder Bird lyrics]

I dreamt a beast rose up from the sea
With many heads & horns it was wreathed

Ten thousand lies
Still trapped in it's teeth
Decomposed bloody clothes
And resounding screams

Then I beheld a great eagle alight
On a mountain aloft on a storm in the night
Lighting would strike
As it's wings would expand
And back-lit the silhouette of
A crucified man again and again

At last the thunder rolled over my ears
In electrified clouds it began to appear

A fiery shape filled the sky in a flash
A phoenix aglow in the smoldering ash

And the beast that came out of the deep
Fell asleep and slipped into the sea
