🇨🇦 BadBadNotGood (BBNG) is a Canadian instrumental band and production collective from Toronto, Canada. Founded in 2010 by bassist Chester Hansen, keyboardist Matthew Tavares, and drummer Alexander Sowinski, the group was joined in 2016 by frequent collaborator Leland Whitty.
BBNG has released five solo studio albums, with the latest, Talk Memory, coming out in October 2021. The band blends jazz elements with hip-hop production and has gained popularity among audiences in hip-hop, jazz, and alternative music. They are also known for their collaborations with artists such as Tyler, The Creator, Daniel Caesar, Mick Jenkins, Kendrick Lamar, Ghostface Killah, Charlotte Day Wilson, and MF DOOM. The group has been nominated for five Grammy Awards and has won two.
