Cameron Marvel Ochs, known by her stage name Cam, is an American country music singer and songwriter from Huntington Beach, California, born on November 19, 1984. She began her career as a songwriter, composing material for well-known artists such as Beyoncé, Sam Smith, and Miley Cyrus. In 2010, Cam released her debut album Heartforward on an independent label. Later, she signed with Sony Music Entertainment and released her debut major-label EP Welcome to Cam Country in 2015, followed by the album Untamed in the same year. In 2020, her third album The Otherside was released on the Triple Tigers label. Her second single, "Burning House," became her most successful track, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. The song received widespread acclaim, including a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance and a Triple Platinum certification from the RIAA.
