Sub Urban is an American singer and songwriter whose real name is Daniel Virgil Maisonneuve (born October 22, 1999). He gained fame with his hit "Cradles," which went viral thanks to TikTok. He was born in Nyack, New York, to a French-Canadian father and a Taiwanese mother, and grew up in the suburbs of Ridgewood, New Jersey. From a young age, he was trained in piano but quit because he wanted to create his own music. At 15, he started producing tracks, and in 2016, he dropped out of school due to manic depression, focusing entirely on writing songs.

After a two-year silence, in September 2024, the musician released a new track titled "Skinny Loser," along with its music video.
