🇯🇲 Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Azim Palmer, is a Jamaican dancehall DJ who has earned a reputation as one of the most influential and controversial artists in the genre. Born on January 7, 1976, he released well-known singles such as "Romping Shop," "Dancehall Hero," and "Summer Time." He is often referred to as "Worl' Boss" and "Teacha" for his provocative lyrics and bold public image.

Vybz Kartel has collaborated with stars like Major Lazer, Rihanna, Missy Elliot, and Alison Hinds. He also influenced Western artists, including Drake, who called him his "biggest inspiration."

Despite being sentenced to life imprisonment for murder in 2014, Kartel continued releasing music from prison, with over 50 tracks dropped in 2016 alone.
