🇺🇸 Andrew Aaron Mineo, better known as Andy Mineo, was born on April 17, 1988, in Syracuse, New York. As an American Christian hip-hop artist, producer, and video director based in New York City, Mineo is signed to Reach Records and is the founder of the creative initiative Miner League. In addition to his solo work, he is an active member of the hip-hop collective 116 Clique associated with Reach Records.
During high school, Mineo worked as a producer and joined the group Fat Camp, which was signed to Syracuse University’s Marshall Street Records. After moving to New York City and reassessing his spiritual life, he decided to refocus his career, closing his production studio. In 2009, he released his first mixtape, Sin is Wack. Through his involvement with Nicky Cruz’s T.R.U.C.E. program, Mineo met Alex Medina, leading to a contract with Reach Records and the inclusion of the track “Background” on Lecrae’s Rehab album.
In 2011, Mineo released the single “In My City” and signed with Reach Records, leading to the release of the album Formerly Known. His debut album, Heroes for Sale, was released on April 16, 2013, followed by his second studio album, Uncomfortable, on September 18, 2015.
Mineo established Miner League, signing artist Wordsplayed and alternative artist Willow Stephens. In 2017, they released the collaborative mixtape Magic & Bird. Mineo is also known for his video and television projects, including "Saturday Morning Car-Tunez" and "League Chumps Season 1". In 2018, he released a series of EPs, including I: The Arrow and II: The Sword, both achieving high chart positions.
In 2014, Mineo married Cristina Delgado. After living in Washington Heights, he moved to Atlanta to further his music career.
